Toward the end of Legend, she helps Day escape from execution, and the two flee to Las Vegas, where they hope to find more rebels. Legend (2011), the first book in this series, establishes a world set in 2064. Prodigy explores themes like politics, love, friendship, reformation, and courage. The novel was warmly received by critics, who recommend it to fans of the Hunger Games and Divergent series. It is the second book in Lu’s best-selling Legend trilogy. Prodigy (2013), written by American young adult novelist Marie Lu, follows two teens in a dystopian world where they must choose who to trust after a major revolution.
